The Mentoring Programme
Mentoring is a process in which a more experienced person supports and helps a less experienced person in their professional and personal development.
Currently, EAT is focusing on mentorships in the Wellington Region. We are looking to expand this programme beyond the geographical area in the near future. If you would like to participate in the scheme and are not currently in Wellington, or if you would like to support us in any other way, please contact Sally to register your interest.
The Process — Mentees
You may know of a Mentor whom you would like to work with, but if not, EAT will assist in finding a good match.
Please be as clear as possible about the aims and objectives for your professional development.
EAT will respond to your application within three weeks of receiving it. If you are a candidate for Mentoring,
an EAT staff member will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your objectives.
Please note: EAT is not currently supporting individuals who are currently enrolled in secondary shools
or film and performing arts institutions.
However, we would love to hear from you when you have graduated!
The Process — Mentors
Mentors are established practitioners who have a developed body of work and expertise in film or theatre.
If you are interested in being a Mentor, we would love to hear from you! EAT pays Mentors a fee.
You may know of a Mentee whom you would like to work with, but if not, EAT will assist in finding a good match.
